Affordable Healthcare Initiative-4

Possible problems:

Providers may not want to provide discount services for cash.

Emphasis on cost of care and discussion of costs could interfere with proper care, and in some instances take up a lot of provider's and administrative staff's time.

Patients may want all of their care on the telephone.

Providers may have more cash on hand than they wish to keep, making them target for embezzlement or robbery.

Credit card fees would increase the cost of care, rather than payment by check by insurance companies without additional fees.

Additional government regulations may be passed to deal with perceived or real problems with the program.
